THE PREFACE

Welcome to DEAD LAZLO'S PLACE blog spot.

"What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger!"

2009 is the 19th year of our band's existence. We've gone through a lot together in all these years; writing, recording, touring, loss of members, the return of former members, flakes, cancer, other health issues, shootings, bar fights, divorces, break-ups, really bad break-ups, drug abuse, death of family members and close friends, near-death experiences, jail, and lots of drinking just to numb the pain so we could write about it later. But even though all this has happened to us we're still together and closer than ever! Three of the four original members are still in the band but we've been through many drummers and a few other guitarists.

Recently, our 1998-1999 tour manager, Ryan Kinder began posting a blog of a journal he kept on our Deep and Wide Tour. As a result, I thought why not start a blog to write about what happens to us as a band this year leading up to our 20th Anniversary 9 months from now.

We have a lot planned for this year. Along with playing as many shows as we can locally, we'll be touring once again in July and then again in October/November, releasing two CDs this summer and in May another compilation CD will feature one of our songs.

Along with all those plans, we'll be filming a video for "Carbomb" soon. And then doing another video for a song on the next CD soon after it's release. Most likely while on tour.

Well, there you go! This is a blog on all the crap that may or may not happen. But now you will know about as it happens... or not... that is if you even care!

Cheers, ~Dead Lazlo's Place
